Sorry for the shot recap of game three and brief game four “preview” game thread post, but with graduation this weekend and now Memorial Day, I have had a busy weekend.  Anyway, Denver is facing a must win game tonight and I believe you will see a great effort by the Nuggets.  I expect a win.

Take this with you:  Denver does not need to improve their play much to win and I think we will see a return of the playoff caliber Nuggets squad as opposed to the regular season quality of play we were subjected to in game three.

BeefySwats has weighed in on what changes he would like to see from the Nuggets for game four.

Did you see that Pau-Kenyon T’s got rescinded. I think that means Martin only has 3 in the playoffs . . .which is a relief.

Luckily, because last game was one of the most frustrating games to watch in the history of my life, I’m looking forward to this game, because it couldn’t possibly be any worse than the last one.
As far as improvements goes, I think BeefySwats had a lot of valid points as to what we can do better, but at the same time, Jeremy is correct to assert that we do not need to improve much to win game 4. In the NBA, there is always going to be games where your shots just don’t fall, and unfortunately, human error tends to increase in those situations due to frustration. A lot of analysts have said that it will be interesting to see how the Nugs respond to the inevitable adversity that they will face, and in game 3, adversity got the better of us. But, as we have stated throughout the playoffs, the Nuggets are a different team mentally than they’ve been in a long time. I look for a professional effort from the team tonight, and I fully expect a Denver win. Let’s go Nuggets.

Denver is incapable of closing out quarters, or taking a lead larger than 7. This is just like game 3.

Anthony has become ineffective, even as a decoy; playing up his injury lost his ability to draw the attention of his defenders. Give his shots all to either Billups or JR in the second half and we can close this strong. Need to take a big lead in the third.

Cheers fellas. What a great memorial day game, I love this team man. Hope you had fun at game 3 Jeremy.

It’s pretty funny that even though I spoke in generalities, the Nuggets followed the exact line of my post:

    - They crashed the boards – harder than I ever thought possible
    - JR penetrated and used his superior passing ability
    - Nene DUNKED all night long (and was a man on the boards)
    - Birdman brought the energy and did a much better job on Gasol, with a few huge blocks
    - Turnovers were very limited only **6** for the whole game!
    - How about Nene doubling up Chauncey on ASSISTS? huh.

GO DENVER! We can take this series. Best of 3, baby.
