Nuggets recall Miller from Iowa Energy

After less than a month in the D-League, the Nuggets have announced that Quincy Miller has been recalled from the team affiliate, Iowa Energy. In his three-game stint Miller averaged 14 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. All of Miller’s performances can be seen for free on the D-League’s YouTube channel, which I have posted below.

    I guess with 10 of the next 15 games on the road, it doesn’t hurt to have another body in case of injury. I think its safe to assume that Wilson wont be making this East Coast road trip.

    I wonder if Masai has something up his sleeve…..probably not.

    Watching this last game, Miller didn’t dominate, but he would have had a triple double if his teammates could convert shots. I saw at least 4 entry passes where Morrison flubbed a 2 foot shot, a couple of nice passes to the wide open man for a 3…

    He didn’t seem to ever really “run” though… I don’t think I saw a single all out sprint at any point. More of a plodding jog, and too much standing around on both ends… he will need to be much more active to crack the rotation. His court movement just looks slow… I felt like I was watching Ilgauskis, not some fresh 19 year old.

    His picks are a little strange too.. He just sets up and lets the PG bring the defender to him… there is no “roll” element, but that may be the offensive scheme.

    Well, what ever the reason for the call up… I hope it benefits the Nuggets organization…

    Please fire george karl already an get this organization headed in the right direction, his defensive schemes are horrible.

    Miller is a very raw player, I don’t see him getting any playing time this season (besides in garbage time). He has potential and its just a matter of him putting in the work on the court and in the weight room to become an NBA player.
