You are correct, he can SHOOT from anywhere and does. The problem is those shots he takes outside of the paint don’t go into the little iron ring.

Take a look at his shot chart. He is good at the rim and he is not horrific from mid-range on the right wing. Everywhere else he is very bad.

To my way of thinking having the confidence to take and miss bad shots does not make you a better basketball player. It makes you a worse one.

Agreed, in fact I think he should be even more limited, with the understanding that he goes full bore for the full 18-20. Save nothing.

Wow really… Faried is good, but be realistic… His game is nowhere near LA’s level.

Karl said it himself… the MAIN reason JaVale doesn’t start is that he can’t afford to have two players(KF and JVMG) who can’t shoot more than 4 feet from the basket with consistency, and secondly that Faried has done more to deserve the start than JaVale.

That wouldn’t be an issue with Lamarcus… he can shoot from anywhere, not just tips, hooks and dunks. Consistent all the way out to the 3.
