I absolutely agree that Ty is our best and most important player. That’s also why I can’t give him an A+ for his performance against the Wolves. Our best player, who has the ball in his hands virtually every play and is responsible for both scoring himself and setting up good scoring opportunities for his teammates, should do better than 3 assists and 4 turnovers.

Iggy, as our best and most important defender, is responsible for limiting the opponents’ best wing player and taking points off the board. He kept his assignments under control, and had at least 4 plays that would have been easy Wolves scores that he erased (his huge block, stripping the ball from a guy with an easy layup, etc.) He was a beast on both of his primary responsibilities, and was even a decent third or fourth option on offense. So for one night, he got a slightly higher grade than Ty Lawson.

Yet as a amauter student of sports media , we won’t get spotlight till playoff series are won. Cue up Bruce Hornsby’s ” It’s Just the Way It Is”.

Iggy has deserved a lot of A+
but pound for pound..
Ty is this team’s best player
without a question..

and Ty played far more of an
important role in the TWolves win.

I am just saying..
that game and that game alone..

giving Iggy A+
and Ty just A

I find it completely ridiculous..
and transparently disparate favoritism

I would like to believe your judgements
and follow and appreciate your efforts
as a fan just like you..

But I can’t take it seriously when
night in and night out..
the $9 million dollar man
can do absolutely no wrong.

He’s great..
thank god.

but A+ is a reach
and yes.. a slap in Ty’s face

For this one night in particular…
but it’s an ongoing general trend.

the winner of the game was
the team with the most points.

I won’t dispute Iggy’s defense..

but wow.. how can you say that
with a straight face?

I adore Iggy as well..

but you guys..

it gets a bit much.

I love Ty Lawson. My little boy rocks a Ty Lawson faux jersey on occasion. In the six times I’ve graded him, I’ve given him 2 A+’s, 1 A, and 3 A-’s.

I don’t think he needs to be coddled by being told “you played an A+ game” every time he touches the court. He’s been really good since about mid-January (averaging 22, 3, and 8 with 1.8 steals on 51/44/78% shooting per basketball-reference), and he was scoring really well last night, but his passing was a little shaky. I have a hard time giving a guy an A+ when he struggles in one of the two most important parts of his game.

Faried can rebound the ball like no other BUT he ends up out of position alot on defense and has a hard time with the pick and rolls. McGee can Block shots anywhere on the court BUT he is ALWAYS out of position and can’t seem to rebound, even though he is 7 foot and has a hugh wingspan, it doesn’t make sense.

I don’t like the small ball BUT 2 of your BIG MEN are lost all the time on defense so if that it what you have, that is what you have.

but this is a slight on Ty Lawson..

Iggy is great.. but damn!!
You guys are too in love with them.

I have no doubt they read this to.

Which is why I plead to you…
Show some respect yourselves.
