Damn, another year they decided not to invite me! I’m starting to think they don’t think I can ball. They don’t call me the Mexican Micheal Jordan, for no reason.

    • EWilson

Hey, the call ME the Mauritian Michael Jordan, and I can’t even buy an invite to the Bobcats’ summer league team. Clearly, the fix is in! :-)

    • Brad from Arvada

      Madagascan MJ here . . .

    • Erlingur Grétar Einarsson

As the Icelandic James Worthy, I know exactly how you feel.

  • Quincy Miller 30

JHAM, Evan, Quincy, and Green are the future! Go Nuggets!

    • Charliemyboy

I would not be surprised if all of them are gone within two years. Sad.

    • Brad from Arvada

      WhuhdidIjustread?

  • Scott

JHAM it is YOUR TIME. Prove GK wrong and show everyone you can be an NBA rotation player.

  • herpderpnuggets

I dont get why we dont have izzet and joffrey on the roster….isnt the point to evaluate talent and let players get used to the nba?

    • Duane Grasmick

Not if they are hiding them or have no intention of every bringing them over from Europe

    • dynamo.joe

I thought Joffrey tweeted he has French National Team commitments. Presumably Turkeymalz has similar Turkish commitments.

      • herpderpnuggets

joffrey is in colorado right now…

        • toluene hawk

          King Joffrey?

        • dynamo.joe

Maybe it was a bad google translation or something. I definitely remember reading that he had tweeted that he wouldn’t be joining the Nuggets for summer league.

          • herpderpnuggets

oh ok, i just think its funny because we have like 1 center on the summer league team

  • Thomas

By season’s end, Hamilton will be averaging 16ppg and his ability to knock down shots will open up the game for Ty and everyone else. Much better than any trade we could have made. Fournier will also continue to surprise.

Thanks FO for giving us fans the chance to see young talent play – whatever that may bring. I had given up on the Nuggets and now it will be interesting.

In the end, even if we don’t win 57 games in the regular season, we already have a better chance of pulling a “Golden State” in the playoffs and win a series for a change.

Should this team do well and Brian Shaw teaches just a bit of defense, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the FO pull a major trade as we have many trade pieces. Dirk Nowitzki perhaps (for Gallo, Chandler, Miller…)? Defense would continue to be a problem, but his addition would give us a big time scorer, allow us to have 2 shooters on the court (Nowitzki/Hamilton), open it up for Ty to go inside or dish, and allow Faried and Mcgee to focus on rebounding and put backs, while learning to play some defense during the regular season.

Ty, Hamilton/Fournier, Faried, Dirk and Mcgee. This line-up could compete against anyone in the West and Dirk is not afraid of Lebron. We would match up well against Miami…

    • Charliemyboy

Unless things change, I don’t see a major acquisition like that. Dirk is great, but past his prime. I think this management wants youth. I hope I’m wrong, but can’t see more than 45 wins this season. Defense is the name of the game and Hamilton has not shown that; only Gallo and Chandler. Top teams are better at defense than offense. Hope with Shaw as Indy”s defense might topple Miami. It’s why Iggy could do whatever the hell he wanted.

    • LBJ

Wow, you are quite the dreamer!

I suspect the odds of seeing Dirk in Nuggets jersey are plenty slim….

  • Qmill30

Hopefully Quincy Miller is more assertive on offense this time. The kid has lottery talent but can he put it all together? Hopefully he shows some decent improvement with essentially having the year off to practice. Apparently he has a 3 pt shot now…we’ll see

  • Trevor

Hopefully Evan and JHam show the FO how dumb it was to sign that scrub Foye. It’ll be interesting to see if Green plays at the 1 or 2, it’d be nice if he could handle the backup PG mins this season.

    • Brad from Arvada

Trev, I’m not real high on the Foye move, but Utah fans love him, and pissed they couldn’t keep him. And I’m pretty sure that when his 41% from 3-pt land in a Nuggets jersey start to land, we’ll like him quite a bit. He needs to have role player mins. though, not starter minutes.

      • Trevor

        Foye >>> http://www.thenbageek.com/players/125-randy-foye
        Fournier >>> http://www.thenbageek.com/players/125-randy-foye
        JHam >>> http://www.thenbageek.com/players/1232-jordan-Hamilton

When you take a look at the statistics it’s obvious that Jham is ready to contribute scoring and rebounding. Fournier’s shooting last year was better than any year of Foye’s career, he just needs to cut down his turnovers. Foye is not the worst player ever but he has no place on this team. We have two young SG’s who with minutes should progress and give us scoring, spacing, rebounding, and playmaking while on rookie contracts. And with players like Chandler and Green who can play SG if the injury bug strikes why bring him in?
Alas he is already here and I’ve complained enough till the season ramps up. My hope is he gets outplayed and benched then gets used to make salaries match in some trade.

        • Brad from Arvada

Good homework, Trevor, but . . . Chandler won’t be playing SG. No way we can be calling on Green for anything — totally unproven. JHam’s total game (and learning how to play controlled and within himself) is far from being ready for a lot of minutes. That leaves Fournier, who, yes, can play and will get minutes, but Nugs need more help at 2. Foye’s contribution will be outside shooting, that’s it, and Nugs definitely needed that. But I don’t think KronCon is finished with SF/wing yet. Hold your horses . . . more help on the way.
