Overnight: Nuggets Hold Off Grizzlies For Win

Last night the Denver Nuggets never trailed in Memphis while collecting their 32nd win of the season. The Nuggets led by as many as 20 points and were able to keep the Grizzlies from mounting a giant comeback, winning 109-105.

Will Barton led the way with 25 points off the bench. Emmanuel Mudiay was hitting from distance as he made at least 3 three-pointers for the sixth time this season. Nikola Jokic collected 14 rebounds to go with his 9 points against Memphis’ depleted front line. Zach Randolph returned to their lineup after missing 9 of the last 12 games due to injuries. He banged and bruised his way to 10 field goal makes and six free throw attempts in 33 minutes.

The Nuggets are 9-8 since losing Danilo Gallinari. They’ve shown overall signs of improvement as they’ve gone 20-22 since taking the Golden State Warriors to overtime back on January 2nd. The team currently stands at 11th in the Lottery position, with New Orleans, New York, Sacramento, Milwaukee, Orlando, and Denver all separated by just three games in the loss column. Only six games remain in the 2015-16 season, four of which are in Denver.
