Nuggets’ February Schedule

By CCH

Looks like this could be a tough month, 8 straight road games (all star break in the middle). Just wanted to hear everyone’s opinion and predictions on how the nugs pull through.

Spurs
@Thunder
@Wizards
@Nets
@Heat
@Magic

All star Break

@76er’s
@Bulls
@Bucks
Celtics
Hawks
Lakers

Thoughts?

    It’s obviously a huge test. We use that word a lot but by the end of this stretch I think we will really know where we are at in the west. I know that Portland and Utah fans are salivating over how hard February is for us and are seeing it as their opportunity to take over the lead in the Northwest. Let’s hope George Karl and Chauncey Billups can keep our guys playing the solid ball we have been producing over the last few weeks. I think we SHOULD expect losses against the Magic in Florida and then against the C’s, Lakers (although as I write this the Bobcats just beat them in 2OT) and I suppose we can take a loss @ Philly without getting too worried. However, all the rest should be wins for us, including when we host the Hawks. Also, I’d LIKE to say that the return of Melo (quoted as around Friday) will help us a lot but it’s been pointed out already that our record without him is pretty much the same as that with him. I think our other scorers commit more with him in street clothes, let’s hope they recognise that and keep it going even with our superstar in the powder blue.

    We know what this team is capable of. We beat the Celtics in Boston when they were beating everyone and we have shown we can hang with the Magic for 3 quarters. We have defecated over each and every so called “experts” preseason expectations and I don’t see why we shouldn’t continue to do so.
