The NBA Trade Deadline has arrived and the Nuggets have taken part in the action. They will send veteran guard Randy Foye to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for DJ Augustin, Steve Novak, and two second round picks. Augustin averaged 5.6 points and 2.5 assists for the Thunder since being acquired from Detroit in […]
There are a couple ways to look at the Denver Nuggets’ 114-107 home loss to the Phoenix Suns, a game which saw Denver surrender a 17-point lead all in the second half. On one hand it’s a learning experience for a young team. Emmanuel Mudiay and Gary Harris both posted new career highs in scoring […]
Despite playing better than expected the Nuggets predictably lost to the Spurs by a score of 109-98. Denver’s poor shooting reared it’s ugly ahead again and the Spurs never let up long enough to let the Nuggets get in the game. Emmanuel Mudiay turned in a very shaky performance and the Hickson-Faried pairing again showed signs […]
Emmanuel Mudiay delivered in the clutch and the Nuggets finally shot the ball well at home, edging out the Portland Trailblazers 108-104 for their first home win of the season.
The Nuggets snapped a two-game skid with a solid win in Los Angeles, keeping the Lakers winless and moving to 2-2 on the season. Emmanuel Mudiay recorded his first career double-double while Kenneth Faried led the way with a monster 28-point, 15-rebound performance. Grades after the jump.
It appears as Will Barton will be rejoining the Nuggets for the upcoming season. According to Chris Haynes of the Northeast Ohio Media Group, Barton and the Nuggets are working to finalize a deal soon. The deal is for 3 years and approximately 11 Million. Barton showed real signs of promise after coming from the Blazers in […]
After a disastrous 1-6 start where Murphy’s Law was in full effect, the Denver Nuggets have turned 180 degrees. These days rather than everything going wrong, almost everything is running smoothly. The Nuggets are 7-3 in their last 10 games and Brian Shaw appears to have found a series of rotations that are working effectively. […]
The Denver Nuggets won their fifth straight game against the Bulls on Tuesday. Ty Lawson broke Kirk Hinrich’s ankles on an assist (yes, you heard that correctly) and Danilo Gallinari made a ridiculous shot that should have counted even though it didn’t (confusing, I know). Finally the Nuggets are actually fun to watch again. More […]
The headline is pretty self explanatory. But in case you’re a fan of redundancy I’ll say it again: Randy Foye is out three weeks according to Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post. Dempsey is reporting the injury to be a right quad tear and that no surgery will be needed. Let the Gary Harris enthusiasm […]
The Nuggets won their fourth straight in ugly fashion, downing the Lakers 101-94 in overtime. Grades for the players and coach are below.
The Denver Nuggets are on a winning streak as they best the Thunder of Oklahoma City for a 107-100 win. Grades and commentary are posted below.
The Nuggets were not in this game from the first whistle. This looks like how I expect the 76ers to look in late March. Things are bad and it’s hard to even imagine a light at the end of the tunnel. More depressing notes below… Denver Nuggets 109 Final Recap | Box Score 131 Sacramento […]
The Nuggets shoot 39% en route to their second straight loss and are now 1-2 on the season. Check out the grades below and a few of my thoughts on what’s going wrong. Hint: it’s everything.
In the first game of the 2014-15 season the Denver Nuggets started off languid but kicked it into high gear late thanks to a standout defensive stint from Alonzo Gee and endless energy from Kenneth Faried. Though it was rough, the Nuggets prevailed by 10 in the end. More analysis below… Detroit Pistons 79 Final […]
Over the years I’ve gathered this sneaking suspicion that I — and to some extend Roundball Mining Company — have developed a reputations as a cynic. I’ve never really debunked this sentiment, as there are a lot worse things in this world to be called than cynical (many of which I’ve also been called), however […]
With the 2014-15 regular season right around the corner, we at RMC figured it was about time for some good ol’ fashioned preseason predictions — you know, MVP, total wins, Sixth Man, the whole nine yards. But more importantly we wanted to look ahead, to irrationally predict the zeitgeist of the Denver Nuggets come June […]
For the third year in a row Roundball Mining Company will feature a series of articles ranking who our writers feel are the best players on the Denver Nuggets roster. This has come to be known as #NuggetsRank and occurs in conjunction with ESPN.com’s annual #NBARank series where all 500 players in the NBA are […]
With Denver Nuggets Media Day complete and training camp underway, here are three quick observations of where the team is at:
Predicting the distribution of minutes for any NBA team is in many ways a doomed venture from the start. One need look no further than the 2013-14 Nuggets to find ample evidence of a team’s inherent unpredictability. A whopping four torn ACLs, an unexpected player-coach meltdown involving seasoned veteran Andre Miller, the addition of Aaron […]
